The club is trialling some (sort of) single serve wine in the drinks fridge for after sailing. These convenient 150 ml (approx. 1.6 standard serves) wine cans ensure wine will be fresh and you won’t have to solve the problem of finishing off the bottle.
The wine is from “Good Times Wine” curated by Dan Sims, a wine commentator, educator, promoter, personality and former Sommelier of the Year at The Age Good Food Guide.
The wines are contemporary, low intervention wines, with the following profiles:
‘Party White’, 2021
Like skinny dipping in the depths of winter, the Party White packs a super fresh punch in the textural pants. A heady blend of grigio, ribolla and friulano. Made by Neil Prentice at Moondarra wines in Gippsland, Victoria.
‘Party Rosé’, 2021
A blend of pinot noir with a carbonic 'air kiss' of skin-contact pinot gris, this Party Rosé is as refined as the ladies who lunch in the place it was created, dahhhhling. Made by Garagiste on the Mornington Peninsula.
‘Party Red’, 2021
Like the apparition of a cherry red unicorn – equal parts beguiling and beautiful – this Party Red is a magical blend of carbonic pinot, merlot, and pinot gris. Spicy on the nose, Wizz Fizz on the tongue. Hop aboard for a wild ride. Made by BK Wines in Basket Range, South Australia.
They are available for $6 in the canteen.
