Competency Training
A new initiative from the club is to host regular PRO/COTD competency and safety courses.
This is an important initiative to ensure we maintain and improve the high standards of racing and safety that our aspirations require. We would appreciate participation from all members – and no matter how competent you think you are, you will learn something important, so please come along.
The only training for this season will be 9am on February 2nd and the topics that will be covered are:
Course setting and mark laying / moving
Race management
RIB launch
Jazzman launch
Radio operation
Emergency response
Incident management plan
Defibrillator Use 101
CPR 101
Off-water COTD responsibilities
The course will be taught by fellow members provide valuable insights to all members regardless of your experience level. Please sign up here.
Boat Licence Course
We have 4 people signed up and have 4 more slots for the 1-day boat licence course at DBSC on 20 January, 2019. All members should have this licence if you perform PRO or COTD duties. The course costs members $125 and the club subsidises the other 50%.

State Masters Championship
DBSC members will be traveling north for the State Masters at Lake Macquarie over the weekend of 2-3 March. Please let us know if you’re able to join us for this fun weekend away. So far we have 15 who have signed up… there must be more. We need to know numbers ASAP so we can organise accommodation and transport, so please register your interest here.
