FRIDAY....Presentation & AGM or Marriage?
Guest User
As forewarned, this Friday brings DBSC's Annual Presentation, 60th AGM and Celebratory feast. We hope to see you all there. It should be an enjoyable night, and as all things DBSC, minimal formality, maximum frivolity. Please come and help us celebrate a successful year.
Truth is there's nothing better on offer, even for the singles who might think spending a Friday night at the club is using time better spent on the tiles. Such singles would be unfairly short selling the mighty DBSC. As a free service to those seeking love, we are pleased to offer a matchmaking and marriage service. The following email was received and our Social Secretary (is there any other type?) attests to its validity.....
"Hi there,
Endemol Shine Australia are looking for brave singles from The Double Bay Sailing Club who could be interested in applying for the next series of Married At First Sight.
A ground-breaking expert led social experiment looking at the nature of love, compatibility and marriage. As a nation we are not very good at finding love and keeping hold of it.
The number of marriages has fallen to an historic low and the number of singles is at an historic high. The series examines whether different scientific approaches to matchmaking can be combined to help create strong long-term matches.
In this experiment, single people are matched with their ideal partner from within our matching pool and the top compatible matches will get married. This is a once in a life-time opportunity to be professionally matched with a potential perfect partner.
We are looking to contact people who are looking to find love, feel ready for marriage and who are brave enough to let our experts find them their ideal match.
If you know of anyone who may be interested in applying, please direct them to the application page at www.marriedatfirstsightcasting.com.au.
CLOSING DATE FOR ALL APPLICATIONS IS 1st AUGUST 2016
Kindest regards,
Georgia Slade+61 (0) 432 333 065M: georgiadslade@gmail.com"
Any singles who don't show up this Friday run the risk of being nominated for a committee and/or for marriage. You've been warned.
