Jazzman arrives.......but wind doesn't.

The club formally took ownership during the week and Jazzman made her (?) first appearance in Double Bay on Saturday the 16th. Click on the title above to see the official portrait of the moment.
The members were as excited as kids on Christmas Day. It's a great boat, really tidy and surprisingly spry. Livery will be added this week, then she'll be moored in the bay.
Jazzman will be formally christened after club championship racing on the 6th September, and all members, sailors, friends and lovers are invited to enjoy the bubbles, BBQ and beverages.
If you want to see the boat, pop down to the Double Bay. Jazzman is moored close to the beach on the eastern side of the 18 Footers (Thanks Woody!).
As for sailing, simply put, the forecast wind didn't arrive in time for the 1 pm start. We held out for a while hoping for a breeze, but called it off at about 2pm. A few keen members launched at about 2.30pm into a light easterly, the rest attended to Bledisloe Cup preparations early.
